Questions and answers
Which browsers work for the video tools?
Current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. The tools use the WebCodecs API, so if one cannot start, update your browser.
Why not use ffmpeg?
These tools use the encoders already built into your browser, which are faster and lighter than ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. The trade off is that supported formats depend on what your browser can decode.
Is there a video size limit?
The site sets none. Long high resolution videos need a lot of memory and time, so trim them first for the best results on a phone.
